FAQs

How do I place an order?

If you are interested in placing an order, visit our shop page to get an estimate and peek at what’s in stock. We try to respond to all quote requests within 24 hours or less. Depending on the quantity of plants you need, we can provide a discount and competitive pricing to meet your needs.

How do substitutions work?

If we do not have the quantity or species of the native plant you would like in stock, we will work with you to determine a comparable tree, shrub, or herbaceous plant.

How do I pay for an order?

American Native Plants accepts the following payment methods: check, Visa, Discover, MasterCard, American Express, ACH, or exact cash. Credit card purchases are subject to a 3-4% processing fee. Net 30 billing is available to customers with approved credit.

How does shipping work?

You or your agent may pick up your plants on an appointment basis. Smaller orders may ship by FedEx, UPS, or common carrier. Orders over 70 lbs. can often be palletized and shipped with one of our preferred common carriers. Larger orders can be shipped directly to your facility or jobsite. We make every attempt to combine loads going to customers along our standard routes in an effort to be cost effective.

Do you sell retail to individuals?

American Native Plants is a wholesaler to the landscaping community. If you are a homeowner or other retail customer, please visit our retail website www.directnativeplants.com. All retail sales are shipped direct to the customer. No retail customers are permitted at the nursery.

Can I stop by to place an order and get my plants the same day?

We require advance notification from wholesale customers who wish to pick up plants. Normally this requires a minimum of 24 hours notice.

Do you have any guarantees on my plants?

We guarantee that your plants will be healthy, disease-free, and authentic to their name. We will replace or issue credit for any native plants that are not properly represented or diseased.

What if I need to delay or cancel my order?

If you need to delay or cancel your order, you must notify us at 410-529-0552 or by email sales@americannativeplants.com at least 24 hours before the shipping date.

What are the conditions of sale?

All plants are guaranteed to be true to name and in good condition at the time of pickup or delivery. All orders are subject to crop failures, damage by natural causes and conditions beyond our control. Our liability is limited to refund or replacement. Acceptance of the material upon delivery or pickup implies that the buyer agrees that the stock is healthy. We offer no additional guarantee and accept no responsibility as to survivability, description of quality, productiveness, or any matter of nursery stock or plants that we sell.

How does contract growing work?

Contract growing allows our wholesale clients access to a wide range of native trees, native shrubs, and herbaceous native plants in quantities we do not typically stock. We can work with you to meet your plant volume, size, and quantity requirements — and your budget!
